On behalf of the entire staff, welcome to Laura B. Sprague School! Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our school.
Sprague School houses approximately 520 Early Childhood through second grade students and 90 staff members. We offer both a five day-per-week half-day kindergarten as well as tuition-based full-day kindergarten.
Our students are offered a variety of educational opportunities throughout their day. With a rigorous curriculum in place, paired with support from reading and math specialists, a Curriculum Enrichment Coordinator, English Language Learning teachers, special educators, and a library-media specialist, there are no limits to your child’s learning. In addition to classroom instruction, students participate in physical education, music, art, and library. Instruction in Spanish begins in kindergarten 2-3x per week and increases to 4x per week in first and second grade.
Throughout the year, Sprague students are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including: after school activities, spring musical shows and portfolio sharing, field trips, yearbook, and our before/after school program, the 103 Club.
The implementation of our Quality Learning Action Plan ensures that teachers are provided the resources they need to maximize learning in their classrooms. Our school community continues its efforts to develop new learning experiences as well as celebrate our accomplishments while meeting district goals. Sprague School is proud to be part of the larger Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 “Leaders in Learning.”
